Way Out Wednesday

Here are some of the various wacky things to start off your Wednesday morning:

-Can you believe the college basketball season has started this week? You think college football teams utilize cupcakes for a complete diet, you should see the feasts going on in basketball. RPI...remember, it should be about the RPI. At some point I'll do a review of the season. Most may even ask why bother since UNC is going to win it all, right? Wrong! UNC will not win it all.

-Speaking of basketball, anyone notice George Mason will no longer be utilizing Gunston as a mascot? Gunston is that big scary green thing you'd see at the Patriot Center. I want attend the home opener on Monday just see the new Patriot.

-Lavar Arrington has come out and called former Deadskins coach and DC hero Joe Gibbs "a coward". Lavar apparently also isn't fond of Danny Boy Snyder. This shouldn't be too surprising considering the issues Arrington had in DC.

-Probably not too surprising, the BCS committee does not go along with President elect Obama's plan for a college football playoff. You better hope Obama minds the economy and not get involved. I think the BCS hates it because the plan might actually make sense.

-And speaking of the BCS, apparently the ABC/ESPN regime wants the BCS back. That wouldn't be a bad thing, since you'd have better quality broadcasts. But is that giving them too much, give that ESPN is everywhere you don't want it to be?

I'll have more later today...
